Image: Austin Jones gave a virtual presentation on behalf of the ELIC team at the 3rd Workshop on NLP Applications to Field Linguistics (Field Matters 2024), held on August 16 in conjunction with the 2024 ACL conference in Bangkok, comparing the results of training a new ASR model on a subset of our Čakavian data to using the same dataset to fine-tune Whisper large-v3.
